Sri Lanka U-19 Women wrapped up a flawless series with a commanding six-wicket victory over Australia U-19 Women in the fifth and final T20 at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium , securing a comprehensive 5-0 whitewash.
Australia, opting to bat first, struggled to build momentum despite a promising partnership between Emily Powell and Lucy Finn. Powell made 33 off 40 balls, while Finn added 35 from 33 deliveries. However, the Sri Lankan bowlers maintained tight lines and never allowed the visitors to break free.
Chamodi Praboda starred with the ball, claiming 3 for 16, including the crucial wickets of Finn and Ayaka Kato-Stafford. Support came from Limansa Thilakarathna and Aseni Thalagune, who picked up a wicket apiece as Australia finished on 114 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

In response, Sri Lanka got off to a shaky start, losing opener Sanjana Kavindi in the first over. However, captain Manudi Nanayakkara steadied the ship with a composed 34* off 35 balls. She received valuable support from Hiruni Hansika (16) and Nethagi Isuranjali (14), while Shashini Gimhani played a brisk cameo of 19* to seal the chase with 15 balls to spare.
Australia’s Shiloh Julien showed promise with the ball, taking 2 for 20, while Indira Panelli and Lucy Finn chipped in with one wicket each. However, the Australians were once again let down by their extras, conceding 20 runs in extras including 18 wides.
This win capped off a brilliant series for Sri Lanka, who won all five T20Is and the sole One-Dayer to completely dominate the tour.
