Sri Lanka’s Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath expressed gratitude to China for its support following the impact of Cyclone Ditwah.
The appreciation was conveyed during a meeting between Minister Herath and Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, held today (12) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
In a post shared on X, Minister Herath thanked the Government and people of China for their “steadfast and invaluable support” extended to Sri Lanka in the aftermath of the cyclone.
The discussion also focused on strengthening the long-standing and friendly bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and China, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to continued cooperation and partnership.
