Sri Lanka Customs has reached a remarkable financial milestone, recording its highest-ever daily revenue yesterday (October 15, 2025).
According to official data, the department collected an impressive Rs. 24,918 million in tax revenue on that single day, marking the highest daily collection in its history.
As of October 15, the total revenue collected for 2025 stands at Rs. 1,867 billion. Officials stated that with this strong performance, the annual target of Rs. 2,115 billion is not only within reach but could potentially be surpassed in the coming months.
The record-breaking achievement highlights the efficiency and strengthened operations of Sri Lanka Customs in ensuring optimal tax revenue generation for the national economy.
