Sheikh Hamdan Praises Dubai’s AI Partnerships During Visit to Google

Dubai is strengthening its global standing as a digital economy hub through strategic collaborations with tech giants like Google, said Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, following a visit to the company’s offices in the city.

Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of Dubai’s partnerships with leading technology firms and explored Google’s latest artificial intelligence initiatives. “We take pride in our long-standing partnerships with global technology leaders who have chosen Dubai as their regional hub,” he wrote, alongside a video of his visit.

These collaborations support the goals of Dubai’s D33 economic agenda, launched in 2023, which aims to double the city’s economy over the next decade and position it as the world’s safest, most connected, and investor-friendly metropolis.

The visit comes amid deepening cooperation between the UAE and Google. Last month, the UAE announced a Cyber Security Centre of Excellence supported by Google, which is expected to generate 20,000 jobs and attract $1.4 billion in foreign investment by 2030. The initiative also aims to protect the economy from billions in cybercrime-related losses.

In parallel, Dubai is investing heavily in AI education. Sheikh Hamdan recently unveiled the Dubai AI Academy, which will train 10,000 leaders in artificial intelligence and boost the emirate’s capacity as a hub for tech talent and innovation.

From cybersecurity to AI training, Dubai is racing to lead the global AI revolution—and global tech companies are taking note.
