Seevali Arukgoda has been appointed as the 45th Director General of Sri Lanka Customs, officially taking over the role this morning.
Arukgoda, who previously served as the spokesperson of Sri Lanka Customs, brings years of experience in the institution to his new leadership position.
He succeeds Sarath Nonis, the former Director General, who retired yesterday after completing his tenure at the helm of the Department.
This appointment marks a new chapter in Sri Lanka Customs, one of the country’s oldest and most vital state institutions.
