Rottweiler attack: Dog attack victim’s five word tribute to dogs that almost killed her

[ad_1]

A woman who was savaged by her own Rottweilers, almost losing an arm in the struggle, has posted a five word tribute to the animals months after the attack.

Nikita Piil, 31, suffered severe head and leg injuries after she was mauled by her two dogs, Bronx and Harlem, at her Perth home on September 16.

She also suffered complications from a canine bacterial infection.

Ms Piil’s family said the mauling occurred after the 31-year-old got “caught in a crossfire” trying to settle her two pets.

Seven-year-old Bronx was shot by attending police officers after attempts to Taser the dog failed. He was later euthanised at a veterinary hospital.

Harlem, her surviving dog, was put down days later after being deemed a “dangerous dog”.

In a new update to social media, Ms Piil, from Success in Perth’s south, said of her former pets: “Harlem & Bronx, you made me the proudest rottweiler Mama on the planet”.

She summed up her feelings in just five words: “I am nothing without you.”

At the time of the attack, Ms Piil’s family said that she, “loved and adored her dogs, and her friends and family have witnessed how much they loved her too”.

“We nearly lost our precious girl a couple of times … but as you all know, Nikita is our little fighter,” they said.

It’s not the first time since the attack that Ms Piil has mourned the dogs online, despite the savagery they meted out to her.

“My existence is forever altered, irrevocably changed in your absence, I’m broken,” she wrote on social media in January.

“Harlem & Bronx. No words can aptly capture the torment that engulfs my heart.

“Harlem & Bronx – you made life, worth living. I will never stop loving you.”
