Robina, Queensland: Horror moment masked man robs store at knifepoint captured on camera

[ad_1]

The moment a brazen robber menaced a bottle shop worker with a knife before fleeing with cash and booze has been captured on camera, as police appeal for public assistance into the attack.

The robbery took place at the Liquor Legends store at RQ’s Tavern in Robina, along Robina Parkway, about 3.30pm on New Year’s Day.

Queensland Police said initial investigations suggest a man, dressed in black and wearing a face mask, entered the store and threatened an employee with a knife, demanding cash.

CCTV captures the man brandishing the weapon as the employee fumbles with the till.

He is then seen closing the door behind him, the blade still pointed towards the worker.

The man can be seen leaving the store as further CCTV tracks him outside the building down an alleyway, and into the rainy streets.

Police have not identified him and no arrests have been made.

A Queensland Police spokesman said he left with a quantity of cash and alcohol.

“Anyone who recognises the man, or has information that could assist with investigations, is urged to contact police,” the spokesman said.

The man is described as average build.

He was wearing a black jumper, black pants with a white strip and a face mask on the day in question.

Investigations are continuing.
