Rihanna Boosts Security After Shooting Incident at Her Home

Global music star Rihanna has reportedly strengthened security around her home after a frightening shooting incident at her Los Angeles residence left her deeply shaken.

The 38-year-old singer was inside her Beverly Hills mansion when multiple gunshots struck the property. Authorities later arrested a woman identified as Ivanna Ortiz, who is suspected of firing an assault-style rifle toward the home.

According to reports from Page Six, the Grammy-winning performer has since taken additional safety measures. Sources claim she has increased security arrangements and even postponed a scheduled photo shoot in the aftermath of the attack.

People close to the singer said she is struggling to understand why her family was targeted. Another insider noted that the incident left the Disturbia singer extremely distressed, especially after learning the weapon allegedly used was an AR-15-style rifle.

A source explained that Rihanna initially heard the gunshots but was unsure what was happening at first. Despite having a strong security team, the situation was described as terrifying, though the singer is relieved that no one was injured.

Rihanna lives at the property with her longtime partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children RZA Athelston Mayers, Riot Rose Mayers, and their youngest child Rocki. Reports indicate the family was inside the house when the shots were fired, but fortunately none were harmed.

Investigators believe the suspect may have posted threatening messages aimed at Rihanna on social media days before the shooting. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that its Robbery–Homicide Division is leading the investigation, and Ortiz is now facing an attempted murder charge.

Police allege the gunfire came from a white Tesla vehicle parked near the residence before the suspect fled. Authorities later tracked down the vehicle in Sherman Oaks, where Ortiz was taken into custody.

Officials say the investigation remains ongoing as detectives review surveillance footage and gather additional evidence related to the case.
