The ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka Fund’ has collected more than Rs. 697 million in donations to support national recovery efforts, according to Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Harshana Suriyapperuma.
He stated that Rs. 635 million had been deposited through the Bank of Ceylon account, while an additional Rs. 61 million was contributed via Central Bank accounts.
Suriyapperuma confirmed that the fund has received 30,470 contributions from donors across more than 33 countries, reflecting a strong wave of global solidarity toward Sri Lanka’s rebuilding process.
