A woman has been found dead and a man is in custody after police were called to a welfare check in Brisbane.
Queensland Police confirmed they’d been called to a Brunswick St property in Fortitude Valley to conduct the welfare check about 11am on Tuesday.
A police spokeswoman confirmed officers found the body of the woman inside the unit.
A man is assisting police with their inquiries.
A crime scene has also been declared.
Police confirmed there is no threat to public safety.
