In a shocking turn of events, two doctors from Pune’s Sassoon General Hospital have been arrested for allegedly tampering with the blood sample of a teen driver involved in a fatal Porsche crash. This case raises serious concerns about the integrity of medical professionals and their role in obstructing justice.
Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar revealed that the doctors, Dr. Ajay Taware and Shrihari Harnor, switched the blood sample of the accused teen with that of another individual who had not consumed alcohol, before discarding the original sample in a dustbin. The incident has caused public outrage, especially since the accident, which occurred on May 19, resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals. Initially, the teenager was granted bail and asked to write an essay on road accidents, but following a review, he was sent to an observation home.
The police have also arrested the teen’s father and grandfather, indicating attempts to shield the minor from consequences. The crime branch is now rigorously investigating to ensure justice is served.
