Poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosław Sikorski, landed at Bandaranaike International Airport this morning (28) to begin a three-day official visit to Sri Lanka. His visit is part of Poland’s ongoing Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Upon arrival, Sikorski was warmly welcomed by Sri Lanka’s Deputy Foreign Minister Arun Hemachandra. During his stay, he is set to participate in a series of high-level meetings, including bilateral discussions with Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath later today.
Sikorski’s visit represents Kaja Kallas, the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission. The visit aims to strengthen ties between the European Union and Sri Lanka.
