Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, left for Switzerland today (January 19, 2026) to take part in the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos-Klosters, which runs from January 19 to 23.
Dr. Amarasuriya is heading the Sri Lankan delegation and is expected to engage in several high-level discussions with global leaders and representatives of major international organisations during the summit.
The 2026 WEF, held under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” will bring together more than 3,000 influential figures from around the world to deliberate on key global challenges and future priorities.
