Over 50 MS Walk Events Planned Nationwide on May 25 to Support Canadians Living with Multiple Sclerosis

MS Canada is inviting people across the country to participate in the annual MS Walk this Sunday, May 25. With more than 50 in-person walks planned across all provinces, the event aims to raise CA$4 million to fund critical MS research, advocacy, and support programs.

For those unable to attend in person, virtual participation is encouraged, with options to complete the walk from anywhere in Canada or on a different day.

“Living with MS comes with unpredictability, and feeling in control isn’t always possible,” said Karen Jacoby, MS Canada ambassador. “But at MS Walk, I can show up authentically and feel the support of a caring community that truly understands my experience.”

Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world, with an average of 12 new diagnoses every day. The funds raised from the walk will support vital research, advocacy to break down barriers to care, and programs like the MS Knowledge Network, peer support, and healthcare navigation services.

More than just a fundraiser, the MS Walk symbolizes hope, resilience, and solidarity for all Canadians impacted by multiple sclerosis.

“Seeing everyone gathered gives me hope that one day, MS will be a thing of the past,” Jacoby added.
