Homicide detectives investigating the disappearance of Jessica Zrinski have begun a three-day search of bushland near Sydney.
The police are now scouring Jenolan State Forest, about 160km west of Sydney, with the operation starting on Friday and expected to go over the weekend.
Jessica Zrinski, 30, was last seen in the Bossley Park area in Sydney’s outer west about 10pm on November 27, 2022.
Family members alerted the police to her disappearance on December 3 after failing to contact or locate her.
Inquiries revealed Jessica was in the carpark of a hotel on Mimosa Road at Greenfield Park about 10pm on 28 November 28, 2022 before leaving in a blue Holden Commodore station wagon about 10 minutes later.
That same vehicle is believed to have travelled west on the M4 motorway and Great Western Highway towards the Blue Mountains, the police said on Friday.
“As part of ongoing investigations, strike force investigators have commenced a land search in the Jenolan State Forest – about 13km north of Jenolan Caves, from today.
“The search is expected to continue for three days until Sunday with assistance from the Dog Squad, Rescue and Bomb Disposal Unit and other volunteers.”
