The teen was seen leaving his home in Melbourne on Monday morning.
A missing Victorian teenager is believed to have travelled to NSW, the day after he went missing from his Melbourne home.
Krishank Karthik, 16, also known as Krish, left his Truganina home about 7.45am on Monday for Suzanne Cory High School but did not make it to class.
He was reportedly seen at an emergency accommodation building in Cleveland St in Sydney’s Surry Hills the next day just before 5am.
It comes after CCTV footage emerged of Krish leaving his home on Monday, holding a small suitcase and some clothes.
The teenager sold his phone at 1.20pm that same day at a shop on Swanston St in the CBD before he was then spotted at Melbourne Central about 1pm on Tuesday.
However, he has switched his travel card so he cannot be tracked.
When he failed to return home from school on Monday afternoon, Krish’s mother Shobana Karthik began calling his friends, who told her Krish had not been to school in weeks.
She then went straight to the police station to report him missing.
While it appears as though the teenager had planned to leave, his family said they have no idea why.
Krishank is about 177cm tall and was wearing a grey hoodie, black track pants, black shoes and black Armani glasses.
