Marking 140 years of Mercedes-Benz innovation, the Mercedes-Benz Club of Sri Lanka has made history by hosting a record-breaking assembly of 635 vehicles, officially verified by BDO Partners Chartered Accountants. The milestone, achieved at the Mercedes-Benz Pageant 2025, establishes a new world record for the largest gathering of Mercedes-Benz cars in a single location.
This surpasses the previous Guinness-listed record of 479 vehicles, set by Mercedes-Benz Ecuador in Quito on October 16, 2021.
The event took place on February 8, 2026, at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) in Colombo. Originally postponed due to natural disasters last year, the Pageant was powered by DIMO, the country’s authorised general distributor for Mercedes-Benz, continuing its longstanding support of the club and its celebrations.
Mercedes-Benz owners from across Sri Lanka came together to honor the brand’s legacy, engineering excellence, and the camaraderie of the local Mercedes-Benz community. The Pageant also celebrated the club’s 35th anniversary, showcasing a stunning mix of classic, young-classic, and modern Mercedes-Benz models under one roof.
