According to reports, a man is suspected of fleeing from Australia to Hyderabad after allegedly killing his 36-year-old wife, whose body was discovered in a wheelie bin on the side of a road in Buckley last Saturday. The victim, identified as Chaithanya Madhagani from Hyderabad, was residing in Australia with her husband and son. Following the gruesome murder, the husband purportedly flew to Hyderabad and entrusted their child to the care of the victim’s parents.
Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy, representing the constituency where the deceased resided, visited the victim’s parents on Sunday upon learning of her tragic demise. He revealed that, at the parents’ request, he wrote a letter to the Ministry of External Affairs urging for the repatriation of the victim’s remains to Hyderabad. Additionally, he informed the office of Union Minister G Kishan Reddy about the matter.
Reportedly, the husband arrived in Hyderabad and handed over their child to his in-laws. The MLA further disclosed that, according to the victim’s parents, the son-in-law admitted to committing the heinous act.
In a statement dated March 9 on its website, the Victoria Police announced that detectives from the Homicide Squad are investigating the discovery of a deceased individual in Buckley, near Winchelsea. The body was found on Mount Pollock Road around midday. A second crime scene has been identified at a residential address on Mirka Way, Point Cook, which is believed to be linked to the homicide. Investigators are treating the death as suspicious, stating that, based on current findings, the individuals involved are acquainted, and the perpetrator may have fled abroad.
