‘Made in Sri Lanka’ Trade Fair to be held in Arugam Bay

The National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA), under the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, will host the annual ‘Made in Sri Lanka’ trade fair at Arugam Bay in the Ampara District from August 29 to 31.

The exhibition will run daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., providing a vibrant platform for promoting local micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs). It is aimed at enhancing market access for Sri Lankan entrepreneurs, both locally and internationally.

This year’s fair will feature 60 stalls, offering a diverse range of standardized, high-quality Sri Lankan products, along with several newly developed innovations. The event will also enable entrepreneurs to connect with foreign buyers and expand their business opportunities.

Beyond trade, the fair will serve as a cultural and entertainment festival, with sports activities, cultural performances inspired by lowland traditions, DJ and calypso music, and a grand musical concert on the final day. Visitors can also enjoy live food preparation stalls along the Arugam Bay beach, while courier services will be available on-site to facilitate the delivery of goods purchased by international visitors.

The ‘Made in Sri Lanka’ trade fair continues to highlight the creativity and resilience of rural entrepreneurs, while also drawing both local and foreign crowds to celebrate Sri Lankan innovation and culture.
