Love Soars High: Emirates Celebrates Valentine’s Day in the Air

Love is taking to the skies this Valentine’s Day, thanks to Emirates. On February 14, passengers flying with the Dubai-based carrier will enjoy a romantic in-flight experience complete with sweet treats, themed beverages, soft mood lighting, and specially curated movies — all at 40,000 feet.

Economy and Premium Economy guests will receive a small gift box featuring a raspberry chocolate brownie, while cabins will be bathed in soft red lighting to set the mood. In First and Business Class, travellers will enjoy chocolate brownies as well as mini raspberry ganache tarts adorned with heart motifs.

On Emirates’ A380 flights, the onboard lounge will embrace the theme fully, offering lemon and raspberry cupcakes, profiteroles, and bite-sized tarts. The celebration isn’t limited to the skies — Dubai lounges will get in on the action from February 13 to 15. First Class lounge guests can savour raspberry vanilla cake, pistachio strawberry cake, and red velvet desserts, accompanied by signature drinks like Love Potion and Whispered Hearts. Business Class lounges will feature red berry crunchy cakes, strawberry-pistachio tarts, and raspberry choux, along with a roaming ice cream cart serving strawberry cheesecake ice cream and raspberry-rose sorbet.

Emirates’ Valentine’s touches extend worldwide, with unique treats in global lounges: heart-shaped ravioli in Rome, festive cupcakes in Cairo, and chocolate-dipped strawberries in Sri Lanka.

For movie lovers, the airline’s inflight entertainment offers over 100 romantic films. A dedicated “Love Stories” collection features new releases such as Regretting You, Workmates, and Tyler Perry’s Finding Joy, alongside timeless classics like 10 Things I Hate About You, The Notebook, Notting Hill, and the Bridget Jones series. Period romance fans can enjoy Pride & Prejudice and Sense & Sensibility, while K-drama enthusiasts can stream hits like Guardian: The Lonely & Great God and What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim.

Complemented by curated love-song playlists, the experience ensures every passenger — whether travelling with a partner or flying solo — feels the romance before landing.
