Kohuwala shooting victim succumbs to injuries

The man injured in the recent shooting near the Kohuwala Junction in Nugegoda has died from his injuries, police said.

The victim passed away last night (25) while undergoing treatment at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.

The shooting occurred on December 22, when an unidentified individual on a motorcycle opened fire at a person travelling in a three-wheeler along the road between Nugegoda Junction and Kohuwala Junction.

The deceased has been identified as a 26-year-old resident of the Dehiwala area. Police said investigations are ongoing and no suspects have been arrested so far.
