KFC has delighted fans by bringing back one of its most popular menu items, the iconic Tower Burger, for a limited time. Starting October 29, Australian customers can once again enjoy the Tower Burger, featuring a crispy chicken fillet, cheddar cheese, a hash brown, lettuce, mayonnaise, and spicy tomato sauce, all served on a toasted sesame seed bun. This fan-favorite burger, originally a ‘secret’ menu item in 2021, has only made brief appearances since, with its last revival in June 2023.
The news has sparked excitement among fast-food lovers, with many taking to social media to share their enthusiasm. Food blogger AngeEats, who has 166,000 followers, posted about the return, declaring, “Hash browns belong inside a burger.” Social media users echoed this sentiment, with one saying, “The Tower Burger is literally the best seasonal menu item out of every fast-food joint – absolutely insane!” Another fan added, “AHHHH TOWER BURGER OMG SO EXCITED! I love the sauce.”
KFC has also introduced two new variations of the Tower Burger: the Tower Stacker, which includes double the breaded chicken patties, and the Tower Twister, which wraps the original filling in a tortilla. “The Tower Burger has long been the most requested burger in Australia, so we’re excited to bring this fan-favorite back while also innovating our menu to introduce the first-ever variations of this iconic feed,” said Sally Spriggs, KFC Australia’s group marketing director.
Customers can enjoy the Tower Burger and its new variations until November 25. The return of the Tower Burger follows KFC’s recent reintroduction of its Hot and Spicy menu, a cult favorite that originally launched in 1991 and briefly came back in 2022. To celebrate, KFC opened a two-day pop-up, with all profits going to the KFC Youth Foundation and its charity partners, Black Dog Institute and ReachOut Australia.
