Sri Lanka’s Junior Tuskers concluded their campaign with a runner-up finish, falling to Hong Kong 33–0 in the Cup Final of the Asia Rugby Under-20 Sevens Men’s Tournament, held in Bihar, India.
Led by Shahid Zumri, the young Sri Lankan side impressed in the opening round — notably defeating Hong Kong in an earlier clash — but couldn’t replicate that success in the final, where Hong Kong dominated from start to finish.
Sri Lanka earned their place in the final after a hard-fought 26–17 victory over China in a tense semi-final encounter, showcasing resilience and tactical discipline.
On the women’s side, Sri Lanka secured 7th place, overcoming Nepal 24–12 in the playoff to end their tournament on a high note
