Honda NSX driven by Ayrton Senna listed for sale

[ad_1]

The 1991-registered supercar gifted to the Formula One legend by Honda has less than 65,000km on the clock and is listed for close to $AU1 million.

An original Honda NSX supercar regularly driven by Formula One legend Ayrton Senna has been listed for sale in the UK for £500,000 ($AU955,000).

According to the listing on UK classifieds website Auto Trader, the NSX was registered in 1991 and has clocked up less than 65,000km in its lifetime.

It is said the red NSX was given to the Brazilian racing legend by Honda – the supplier of the engine in his McLaren Formula One car – and reportedly featured in the Senna documentary ‘Racing is in My Blood’.

The car is currently owned by Robert McFagan, who is said to have purchased the vehicle in 2013 on a trip to Algarve, Portugal.

Senna is said to have used two other black NSXs, one for personal use and the other gifted to the Formula One driver by his then-manager, Antonio Braga.

The Brazilian legend is known to have assisted in the development of the NSX, which was powered by a 201kW/284Nm 3.0-litre V6 good for 0-100km/h in about 5.8 seconds.

The red car listed for sale will be on show at the Senna exhibition at the Silverstone racing circuit in the UK from 23 to 25 August 2024.

Senna was regarded as one of the best drivers in F1 history, with 41 Grand Prix wins and three world championships in 10 years until his death in a crash during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix.
