He Saw Art Where No One Else Did: Vishwa Nadheera and the Rise of Eye Craft

At just 24 years old, Colombo-based entrepreneur Vishwa Nadheera has introduced Sri Lanka-and South Asia-to an entirely new way of seeing art. His groundbreaking brand, Eye Craft, is officially South Asia’s first-ever iris photography company and the world’s first mobile iris photography service, redefining how personal art can be experienced.

Founded on June 29, Eye Craft takes photography beyond studios and galleries. Instead, the team visits customers in the comfort of their own homes, capturing the intricate and unique patterns hidden within the human eye. What results is not just an image, but a deeply personal piece of art—one that reflects identity, emotion, and individuality.

What sets Eye Craft apart is not only its innovative technology, but the meaning behind every creation. Each Eye Craft portrait transforms the human eye—one of nature’s most mesmerizing designs—into a stunning visual masterpiece. It’s more than photography; it’s a reflection of who you are.

Eye Craft offers a wide range of meaningful experiences. Customers choose iris art as a thoughtful gift for loved ones, a memorable family keepsake, a symbol of love for couples, or even as a heartfelt tribute in loving memory of parents. Every piece tells a story, making it one of the most emotional and artistic products ever introduced to the island.

The concept was born from Vishwa’s desire to merge art, emotion, and innovation. With experience in organizing large-scale events through his own ventures, he always saw creative potential in places others overlooked. That unique mindset led him to build Eye Craft from the ground up. After nearly two years of development, planning, and refinement, his vision finally became a reality.

In June, Eye Craft celebrated its official launch at Virticle by Jetwing, drawing industry professionals, creatives, and art enthusiasts eager to witness this new form of artistic expression. The response was overwhelming—not only for the innovation itself, but for the powerful stories told through every captured iris.

Currently available in Colombo, Eye Craft is already preparing to expand its presence to the Maldives and Thailand, continuing its mission of turning eyes into timeless works of art across borders.

Vishwa Nadheera’s journey with Eye Craft is a testament to what can happen when creativity meets purpose. In a world filled with trends and replicas, Eye Craft stands as a reminder that true art begins where emotion meets vision.
