Sri Lanka’s Harshitha Samarawickrama has joined the Trinbago Knight Riders Women squad for the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2024.
Harshitha is likely to replace Australia’s Meg Lanning in the Trinbago Knight Riders Women squad, foreign media reported.
Harshitha Samarawickrama played an important role in Sri Lanka’s squad as she helped them win the Women’s Asia Cup 2024 title and was also named player of the match in the final.
Samarawickrama also climbed three positions in the ICC Women’s T20 rankings to place 13th among batters in the world, following her impressive performance against Ireland Women.
She has moved up 8 spots in the ICC Women’s ODI batting rankings helped by her maiden ODI century against Ireland Women last week.
