(G)I-DLE‘s Yuqi is proving that spring and summer styles don’t have to be centered around bright colors or florals. The K-pop idol just shared a set of photos that put an edge to warm-weather dressing and we are taking notes.
On her personal Instagram account, Yuqi shared a series of photos with the caption, “When I was in Paris.” In the pictures, she wears a black satin cropped corset tank top with a lace-up bodice and a sweetheart neckline. The shirt, which also doubles as a tube top thanks to the detachable straps, is by SMFK, a brand created by Sam Ren and Frank Liu in Beijing, China, where Yuqi is from as well.
Yuqi paired the top with a pair of gray parachute cargo pants, going for an all-neutral look. She kept the color coordination going with her accessories, too. She wore a pair of white buckled platform sneakers from Ash, a white and camo bag, as well as a black hat and sunglasses. Even her necklaces — a flower and a bear charm — were mostly black.

The main pops of color in the look were in the beauty department. Focusing on rosy tones, Yuqi wore a pink blush and a coral lipstick. On her nails, she also wore a bold fuchsia color, bringing some brightness to the look. Her long blond hair also brightened up the look, although she wore it tied back in a messy bun tucked under her hat.
While this may be a throwback post, Yuqi’s look is a 101 in adjusting trends and personal style to fit the seasons, which is especially fitting as today is the start of spring.
This isn’t the first time Yuqi has put her own unique twist on fashion and beauty trends, either. Last summer, she elevated the milk manicure trend with some adorable nail art. We’ve also seen Yuqi’s groupmates make the Barbiecore and fairycore trends their own before, too, so it must be a (G)I-DLE thing.
