For the first time ever, a group of talented young Emirati artists will present their work at World Art Dubai 2025, showcasing exceptional skill and creativity in a variety of art forms.
In an exciting milestone for the UAE’s art scene, a group of young Emirati prodigies will be making their debut at World Art Dubai (WAD) 2025, a renowned retail art fair taking place from April 17 to 20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The fair, now in its 11th edition, is set to feature over 400 artists and galleries from more than 65 countries, offering a platform for global artistic exchange and creativity.
This year, the MRK Contemporary Art Gallery will present a special exhibition titled “Emirati Art in Every Home,” celebrating the incredible talent of these young artists. The exhibition will feature the works of Aisha, Maitha, Hamdan, Rodha, Hessa, Amna, Saeed, and Creaye, each of whom has demonstrated an exceptional command of artistic expression far beyond their years.
Their work spans a variety of mediums, including paintings, caricatures, portraits, landscapes, digital drawings, and abstract pieces. Despite their young age, these child prodigies bring emotional depth, technical precision, and imaginative flair to each creation, making their work stand out as sophisticated and culturally rich.
“These aren’t just sketches by kids. These are thoughtful, culturally rich, and visually sophisticated works that hold their own next to professional art,” said Meena Kamal, artist and owner of MRK Contemporary. “Each piece reflects the spirit of the UAE—its traditions, emotions, and aspirations.”
Rayad Kamal Ayub, the founder of MRK and a UAE-based entrepreneur, emphasized the importance of nurturing creativity in children. “Children are natural storytellers. Art helps them explore emotions, process the world around them, and express themselves freely. Platforms like World Art Dubai empower them to be seen and celebrated.”
World Art Dubai 2025 will also feature a range of international pavilions, including new showcases from Zimbabwe, Mongolia, Australia, and Estonia. The Emirati and Philippines Pavilions will make their debut, highlighting regional talent alongside global artistic perspectives. This year’s Country of Honour is China, which will present both traditional and contemporary art alongside live cultural performances.
Meena Kamal believes the children’s exhibition contributes to the broader international dialogue. “These young Emirati artists may be small in age, but they are big in vision,” she said.
