The world’s largest international airline has shared new insights into its most popular destinations for families, while offering a clear tip for travellers looking to save on airfares: book early.
Emirates said passengers who plan their trips months ahead are more likely to secure better value, noting that its busiest-ever January for family travel saw most Economy Class seats reserved well before departure. More than 65 per cent of group bookings were made at least three months in advance, while a similar share of families locked in flights at least two months early, helping fill aircraft ahead of peak holiday periods.
Economy Class continues to dominate the airline’s business, accounting for 84 per cent of all bookings in 2025. Families and groups made up nearly two-thirds of Economy travellers, reflecting strong demand from leisure passengers seeking comfort, reliability and bundled services at competitive prices.
Dubai, Bangkok, Jeddah, Malé and Mauritius emerged as top choices for families, while group travellers favoured destinations such as Dubai, Jeddah, Medina, Istanbul and Rome.
With January now a key month for ticket sales driven by school calendars, and 2026 declared the UAE’s Year of the Family, Emirates expects booking trends to follow major holiday breaks. Supported by ongoing aircraft upgrades and a strong refurbishment programme, the airline anticipates another busy year ahead.
