Dubai to Get ‘Ghaf Woods Mall’ — A First-of-Its-Kind Forest-Integrated Shopping Destination

Dubai is set to welcome another record-breaking retail destination — Ghaf Woods Mall, a “world-class shopping and leisure hub” that will blend modern design with lush greenery.

Launched on Monday by Majid Al Futtaim, the region’s leading retail and leisure company, the mall will stand at the center of the Dhs15.4 billion Ghaf Woods development, a new forest-inspired residential community along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.

Once completed, Ghaf Woods Mall will be Majid Al Futtaim’s 30th shopping center and its 19th in the UAE, setting a new benchmark for sustainable, nature-integrated architecture in the region.

🌿 A “Mall in the Forest”

Majid Al Futtaim described the upcoming mall as the first forest-integrated retail space in the Middle East, designed to merge nature, technology, and human-centric innovation.

“Ghaf Woods Mall is set to mark a bold new era in retail and community placemaking,” said Ahmed El Shamy, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Development.

“From design to delivery, the concept behind the ‘Mall in the Forest’ highlights Majid Al Futtaim’s unwavering commitment to environmental innovation and excellence.”

The mall is expected to feature a curated mix of premium retail outlets, entertainment venues, dining options, and leisure experiences, creating a one-of-a-kind destination for residents and visitors alike.

🏗️ Part of Dubai’s Green Future

While Majid Al Futtaim has not yet confirmed the mall’s design or opening date, the 738,000-square-metre Ghaf Woods community will open gradually in eight phases until 2031.

Ghaf Woods is being developed as a sustainable forest neighborhood, offering residents a unique balance of nature and modern living — a vision that Ghaf Woods Mall will embody at its heart.
