COSEL has introduced the HFA3500TF, a compact 3-phase, 3-wire 3500W AC/DC enclosed power supply specifically designed for industrial applications, including semiconductor fabrication, laser processing machines, and robots.
The HFA3500TF input voltage can accommodate a wide range of 180VAC to 528VAC, making it suitable for global applications in both 3-Phase Delta and 3-Phase Star networks. The power supply utilizes the most advanced ‘energy optimized’ switching architecture and Wide Band Gap (WBG) semiconductors, resulting in an exceptional efficiency rating of up to 94% while operating with a 400VAC input and 65VDC output.
The HFA3500TF is offered in two output voltages, namely 48VDC and 65VDC. These voltages can be adjusted within a range of +15% to -50% using the trim function. The compact and sleek design is a mere 41mm (1.61 inches) in height, including the cover, and is equipped with two cooling fans that can be adjusted to different speeds. The HFA3500TF can be coupled in parallel with up to ten units for larger power applications, resulting in a maximum power delivery of 31.5kW.
The HFA3500TF’s compact and low-profile design allows it to fit vertically in a 1U (44.45 mm) rack unit. This is particularly beneficial in situations when space is limited, as it makes it easier to integrate into small machines and saves valuable floor or rack space in industrial environments. In order to achieve optimal performance and dependability in a compact design, the power supply has been engineered to deliver superior performance and has been tuned to remove areas of excessive heat and promote efficient cooling across all its components.
The HFA3500TF achieves its goal by integrating a novel mechanical design with cutting-edge advancements in power electronics. These include an optimized digitally controlled switching topology and a power stage equipped with Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs and diodes. As a result, the device can deliver up to 94% efficiency when operating with a 400VAC input and producing a 65V output.
The HFA3500TF has a wide input voltage range of 180 to 528VAC. It is offered in two output voltages, which may be adjusted using either the built-in potentiometer or the trimming function. The 48VDC/73A unit can be adjusted within the range of 24.00 to 55.20VDC, while the 65VDC/54A model can be adjusted within the range of 32.50 to 74.75VDC. Under normal operating conditions, the output power is 3.5 kilowatts.
