Colombo Dockyard PLC (CDPLC) has successfully delivered Misje Lily, the eighth vessel in the 5000 DWT Eco Bulk Carrier series, to Misje Eco Bulk AS of Norway — further strengthening their long-term partnership in sustainable shipping.
Since delivering the first vessel in September 2022, CDPLC has maintained a consistent record of on-time, high-quality deliveries. The Misje Lily, measuring 89.95 metres and classed by DNV, was conceptualised by Wartsila Ship Design Norway, with detailed engineering carried out by CDPLC’s in-house design team.
Equipped with an advanced Energy Storage Battery System (ESS) for Electric Hybrid Propulsion alongside a conventional diesel system, the vessel offers improved operational efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
This delivery reinforces Colombo Dockyard’s position as a trusted global shipbuilder, delivering eco-friendly, technologically advanced vessels to meet the evolving demands of the maritime industry.
