The Foreign Minister of China, Wang Yi is scheduled to arrive in the country tonight (11).
The Chinese Foreign Minister will arrive in the island for a two-day official visit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to meet Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vijitha Herath, tomorrow morning, during which bilateral discussions between the two countries are expected to take place.
The Chinese Foreign Minister is also scheduled to meet President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
During the visit, the Foreign Minister will review Sri Lanka’s post-recovery efforts following the cyclone Ditwah and also brief on the assistance being provided by the Chinese government.
