Sri Lanka’s women’s cricket team skipper, Chamari Athapaththu has hinted at her possible retirement from the sport of cricket.
Speaking to the media in South Africa, Athapaththu revealed she believes her retirement is ‘very soon’.
She, however, stopped short of mentioning details of her retirement, stating that she could not mention the exact dates.
The Sri Lanka women’s cricket team skipper went on to heap praise on her young team.
Chamari Athapaththu said she hopes to see her young team win the women’s World Cup one day.
