Cars keyed in Sydney: Shaina is a slut Granville

[ad_1]

An Aussie has shared their disbelief at finding their car keyed in what appears to be a targeted attack.

The only problem (apart from getting keyed) — the attack appears to have missed the mark.

Posting to Reddit, the person explained their car got keyed approximately two weeks ago while parked at Granville station, Sydney.

“They did a line on the roof and on the left, going across the entire length of the car,” they explained.

“I left my car parked outside overnight and woke up Thursday morning (21/12) to “Shaina sl*t” and “snitch” keyed onto my car.”

They also wrote that their co-worker also had his car keyed in the same area with similar markings along the roof of the car.

“Friday (22/12) while parked in Granville his car got keyed with ‘snitch sl*,’” they wrote.

“I would also like to add that he saw the individual keying his car, he said it was an older man but he legged it before he could make out any further details.”

“Initially I thought the line keying and turning my car into the sl*tmobile were two separate incidents. But after hearing about it also happened to my co-worker, it all seems just a bit too coincidental,” the poster continued.

“Again, neither of us are Shaina and we don’t know any Shainas.”

Many people were just as shocked as the car owner was, taking to comments to vent their frustration.

“Ugh, that sucks. Sorry you have to deal with this,” one user wrote.

“Clearly a jilted ex that’s hoping he finds her car in the carpark. Bad luck to OP (original poster) and co-worker for owning the same colour and model,” chimed in another.

A third wrote: “So sorry this happened to you. Do you think there were any security cameras around your car that can help you report it?”

“Paint is f***ed, will have to be stripped and resprayed, insurance should help you out though because it was not your fault, obviously,” expressed another.

The cost to fix scratches that come as a result of the car getting keyed depends on how severe the damage is.

If the scratch appears to be severe and deep, going down through several layers of paint, a professional repair job may cost the vehicle owner more than $1000.

A report has been submitted to police.

Anyone with any information on the incidents is urged to contact police.
