A delegation of British Parliamentarians paid a courtesy visit to the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo on the afternoon of the 25th, marking a moment of diplomatic engagement between the two nations.
During their visit, the delegation engaged in a brief but cordial discussion with the Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and shared interests.
The visiting parliamentarians were also taken on a guided tour of several historically significant areas within the Secretariat premises, including the Presidential Secretariat Library, the Old Parliament Building, and the Cabinet Meeting Hall — offering them a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s rich political heritage.
The British High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Andrew Patrick, Senior Additional Secretary to the President Roshan Gamage, and several other officials were present to welcome and accompany the delegation during the visit.
