Terrifying footage has captured the moment an armed man dressed in a creepy clown mask robbed a servo in Brisbane’s south, before fleeing into the night.
Detectives from the Upper Mount Gravatt Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have released CCTV of the robbery of the business on Cavendish Rd in Holland Park on December 29.
CCTV captured the man, dressed in a clown mask and wearing black clothing, running towards the business about 7.30pm.’
As he enters, he can be seen brandishing what appears to be a gun at an employee.
Police allege the man demanded cash, leaving with a quantity through the same exit and running off into the night.
The footage captures him leaning over the counter, grabbing the entire cash till before exiting.
The employee was not harmed during the incident.
The masked man is described as having a slim build with long dark hair.
Aside from the clown mask, he was wearing black plants and a jumper, blue shoes and was carrying a black backpack.
Anyone with information that could assist with investigations is urged to contact Queensland Police.
