In a shocking incident, ten Indian flights received bomb threats via social media over the past 48 hours, with an Air India plane carrying 211 passengers from Delhi to Chicago being one of the targeted flights.
According to foreign media reports, the threats were received by multiple airlines, including Air India Express, SpiceJet, Akasa Air, and IndiGo. The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has taken the threats extremely seriously, prompting them to engage cybersecurity agencies to track down the source of the threats.
As a result of the threats, extensive security measures have been put in place at various airports to ensure passenger safety. Despite the threats, all flights landed safely, with authorities following strict protocols to ensure the well-being of all passengers on board.
The social media account responsible for the threats has been suspended, and an investigation is underway to identify the individuals or group behind the sinister messages. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of cybersecurity and the need for swift action to prevent such threats from posing a real danger to the public.
Passengers were understandably shaken by the experience, but thanks to the swift response of the authorities, no one was harmed during the incident. The safety of passengers remains the top priority, and all necessary measures are being taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
