BLACKPINK’s Jennie Kim looked gorgeous at the Met Gala 2024 in her sapphire blue cutout Alaïa dress and matching blue heels, but during much of her trip to NYC and back, she stuck to comfy, easygoing sneakers — from adidas, of course. (BLACKPINK has frequently teamed up with the sportswear brand.)
As noted by the Instagram account Jennie Closet, Jennie wore two pairs of adidas sneakers while out and about in New York, swapping the ever-popular Sambas and Gazelles in favor of more underrated styles. First, she was spotted in a pair of black Copa Mundial Soccer Shoes, which she wore with baggy jeans and an oversized yellow sweatshirt for maximum pre-Gala comfort, styling the look with sunglasses and a baseball cap.
For her trip back to South Korea post-Met, Jennie donned a pair of OG Country Shoes from a collaboration with Song For The Mute, paired once again with baggy jeans, a fitted white T-shirt, and a cozy cotton hoodie — a look that was perfect for settling in on a long flight.
Given that BLACKPINK has worked with adidas for years, it’s no surprise that Jennie’s closet is packed with shoes from the brand. We’ve seen her in Stan Smiths and Velosambas in the past, and even boxing shoes, while bandmate Lisa gave the Bermudas a spin. Of course, Sambas and Gazelles are still hot, hot, hot. Just ask Gigi Hadid, who wore a bright red pair of Gazelles with a low-key errand-running look. There really is an adidas sneaker for every occasion!
