The Bandaranaike Memorial National Foundation (BMNF), headed by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, has contributed Rs. 250 million to the government fund established to support recovery and resettlement of communities affected by recent disasters.

The donation was formally handed over by Kumaratunga to Prime Minister Harini Amarasooriya at the Prime Minister’s Office.
Officials confirmed that the funds will be directed towards reconstruction projects and assistance for families displaced by Cyclone Ditwa, as Sri Lanka continues efforts to rebuild and provide relief to affected communities
