Disgraced Bondi doctor John Balafas has scored a windfall of about $10m for his Dover Heights home.

The three-bedroom home at 34 Portland St was up for sale with a $9m-$10m price range and sold on Wednesday via Biller Property principal Paul Biller and his colleague Ben Torban.

Neither agent was contactable on Friday night, though sources said it sold within that range.

John Balafas was found guilty of assault charges last May.

The Portland St home last traded for $3.8m in 2015. No work had been done to the home since.

Court documents said he threatened the victim with an axe and slammed it down on a table. He also punched the victim and smashed a glass on the person’s legs.

He was sentenced to an 18-month community correction order.

And in December 2022, the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal banned Dr Balafas from operating for three years after he was found to have sexually exploited and invaded female patients during medical check-ups.

Plus incredible views of the Bridge and harbour.

No improvements were made to the home since Balafas purchased it.

It boasts 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 3 car spots and iconic panoramic Harbour views from all levels that can never be built out.

According to PropTrack the median house price in Dover Heights over the past year was $6.3m.
