Australia’s United Petroleum will begin operations in Sri Lanka from August 28.

Australia’s United Petroleum Pvt. Ltd. is scheduled to commence their operations in Sri Lanka from August 28 under United Petroleum Lanka.

Addressing the launching of the event, its Operations Manager said the fuel ships have already arrived and have started unloading.

The launching of the fuel distribution is to be started via 20 filling stations under the United Petroleum logo.

United Petroleum Lanka Pvt. Ltd. had entered into a contract on June 4, 2024 with the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI) as part of the agreement signed with the Power & Energy Ministry to supply petroleum products in the Sri Lankan market.

The Power and Energy Ministry has permitted Uniyed Petroleum to operate fuel distribution targeting 150 filling stations around the country and the right to expand by building another 50 new stations drawing on its extensive experience in Australia.
