Australia Cricketer Ashleigh Gardner Gets Married To Long-Time Partner Monica

Australian women’s all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner has tied the knot with her partner Monica after a year of being engaged. Their wedding ceremony was attended by Gardner’s close cricketing friends, Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry, Kim Garth, Elyse Villani among others.

Gardner recently toured New Zealand as part of the Australian women’s team for a T20I series late last month. The cricketer also played the entirety of the WPL 2025 season in India up until March 13 as the captain of the Gujarat Giants women’s team.

Ashleigh Gardner gets married to long-time partner

On Sunday, April 6, Australian women’s all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner got married to her long-time partner Monica in a seemingly extravagant ceremony. The two had engaged with each other back in April last year.

Ashleigh Gardner was recently appointed as Gujarat Giants captain in the WPL after the franchise secured back-to-back bottom place finish on the points table in 2023 and 2024. Under her leadership, the franchise reached the Eliminator stage of WPL 2025, eventually losing to Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians in the knockout.

Ashleigh Gardner career

Ashleigh Gardner made her international debut back in February 2017 with a T20I match against New Zealand at the MCG. To date, the cricketer has featured in seven Tests, 77 ODIs and 96 T20I matches for Australia Women.

A seasoned all-rounder, the blistering right-handed batter has amassed over 3,000 runs across all international formats, and has additionally clipped 207 wickets through her right-arm off-breaks.

Gardner was part of the Australian women’s team that lifted the 2018, 2020 and 2023 T20 World Cups, and was also part of the victorious 2022 ODI World Cup winning team in New Zealand.
