Global pop icon Ariana Grande has revealed that her upcoming Eternal Sunshine tour in 2026 will be her final tour for a long while, as she shifts focus toward acting and other creative pursuits.
Ariana Grande has confirmed that her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine tour in 2026 will mark her final return to the stage for the foreseeable future. The singer described the tour as a “last hurrah,” explaining that while she has not ruled out touring altogether, she plans to step away from live performances for a significant period.
Speaking on Amy Poehler’s podcast, Grande reflected on her evolving artistic journey, noting that the next phase of her life will look very different from the past decade. After years of focusing almost exclusively on pop music, she has rediscovered her love for musical theatre and comedy, passions that shaped her early career.
Grande last toured in 2019 with the Sweetener World Tour. Since then, she has concentrated on acting, earning critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked. She is currently promoting Wicked: For Good, the sequel set for release later this year.
The singer released her album Eternal Sunshine in 2024, but fans have yet to experience the music live. Her 2026 tour will be her first in seven years and will include 41 shows across North America from June 6 to August 6, followed by a 10-night residency at London’s O2 Arena.
Compared to her previous world tours, the upcoming schedule is noticeably smaller. Grande’s 2019 tour featured 101 shows, while earlier tours such as Dangerous Woman and Honeymoon spanned multiple continents.
Grande emphasized that this decision is deeply personal, explaining that she wants to pursue creative projects that feel meaningful and aligned with her growth. While fans may be saddened by the news, she assured them that the Eternal Sunshine tour will be a heartfelt celebration of music, gratitude and connection.
