Apple to offer its biggest Siri upgrade yet, and this time the digital assistant is expected to be supercharged by Google’s Gemini AI technology.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to preview the revamped Siri in the latter half of February, highlighting what its newly formed partnership with Google can deliver and showcasing Gemini-driven features in live demonstrations.
Following the announcement, the upgraded Siri is expected to be introduced with iOS 26.4, which is reportedly scheduled to enter beta testing in February ahead of a wider release in March or early April.
Apple first teased a next-generation Siri at WWDC 2024, but fresh reports suggest the assistant will now operate more like a conversational AI chatbot, similar to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, offering more natural and capable interactions.
Gurman also notes that Apple will host a larger, more formal unveiling of the new Siri — internally known as “Campos” — during its annual developers conference this summer.
The advanced Siri experience, along with additional Gemini-powered Apple Intelligence features, is anticipated to roll out more broadly alongside iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and macOS 27, which are expected to become available in beta form during the summer months.
