AirlineRatings.com Reveals the World’s 25 Safest Full-Service Airlines for 2026.
CEO Sharon Petersen said safety standards among leading airlines are now so high that only very small margins separate the top performers, noting that all airlines in the Top 25 are global leaders in aviation safety.
The rankings are based on factors such as incident rates, fleet age, serious incidents, pilot training and international safety audits. For 2026, greater emphasis has been placed on turbulence prevention, including airline participation in IATA’s Turbulence Aware programme and onboard safety audits, highlighting the industry’s growing focus on reducing in-flight injuries.
