The Technology Innovation Institute (TII), part of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), has unveiled Falcon-H1 Arabic, a groundbreaking large language model built using a hybrid Mamba-Transformer architecture. Breaking away from traditional transformer-based approaches, this model has quickly risen to the top of the Open Arabic LLM Leaderboard (OALL), establishing itself as the highest-performing Arabic AI system to date.
Falcon-H1 Arabic surpasses much larger models in terms of accuracy, contextual understanding, and linguistic representation, making it the most advanced Arabic AI model currently available.
His Excellency Faisal al Bannai, Adviser to the UAE President and Secretary General of ATRC, highlighted the significance of this milestone: “Falcon-H1 Arabic demonstrates our dedication to positioning the UAE as a global leader in advanced technology and responsible AI. By creating models tailored to the linguistic and cultural needs of the region, we foster innovation that is accessible, relevant, and impactful. This achievement reflects the exceptional talent and research expertise within TII.
