While 14 NFL teams shift their focus toward a Super Bowl 60 run as the 2025 playoffs get underway, the rest of the league is already preparing for a different kind of offseason battlefinding the right leader to guide their future.
The conclusion of the regular season often brings uncertainty for head coaches, and this year is no exception. Although the annual “Black Monday” is typically marked by a wave of firings, the 2025 season has seen several decisions made ahead of schedule, resulting in a less chaotic finish than in years past.
Coaching turnover is already underway. The Tennessee Titans and New York Giants each moved on from their head coaches, Brian Callahan and Brian Daboll, during the season. The Atlanta Falcons followed suit after Week 18, dismissing Raheem Morris on Sunday night. These moves have officially opened multiple head coaching vacancies as the offseason begins.
Beyond those confirmed changes, speculation continues to swirl around several organizations. Teams such as the Las Vegas Raiders, Miami Dolphins, and Cleveland Browns are among those being closely watched as potential candidates to make leadership changes in the coming weeks.
