Jacinda Ardern Now Based in Australia After Property Visits in Sydney

Former New Zealand Prime Minister is currently based in Australia, according to a spokesperson, following reports that she was seen inspecting properties in Sydney’s affluent northern beaches.

Her office confirmed to that Ardern and her family have been travelling for several years and are, for now, using Australia as their base due to work commitments. The move also allows them to spend more time in New Zealand.

Property Inspections in Sydney

Speculation about a possible relocation grew after Ardern and her husband, Clarke Gayford, were reportedly seen viewing homes in the suburbs of Curl Curl and Freshwater. According to , median house prices in those areas range between AUD 3.9 million and AUD 4.1 million.

The former Prime Minister was also recently spotted in Gerringong, south of Sydney, where she attended a community expo alongside her close friend , New Zealand’s longest-serving female Member of Parliament.

Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald described being surprised to see Ardern at the event and praised her leadership, noting that the region’s green hills and dairy landscapes closely resemble New Zealand.

From Youngest Leader to Global Figure

Ardern became Prime Minister in 2017 at the age of 37, becoming one of the world’s youngest female heads of government. She assumed leadership of the Labour Party just weeks before the general election after stepped down.
