Over 1,700 cyclists took part in the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, held in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council. The UCI Gran Fondo World Series qualifier featured a 96.4km route starting and finishing at Expo City Dubai, attracting over 250 elite riders.
In the elite category, Danil Konotop won the men’s race in 1:57:36, while Olivija Baleisyte claimed the women’s title in 1:57:54. Close finishes saw Marco Lumanog and Rashid Abdulla Suwaidan take the men’s podium alongside Konotop, while Maddison Black and Alina Abramenka completed the women’s podium.
Overall Aster Big 5 winners were Harrison Webb (5:05:14) and Helle Bachofen Von Echt (5:06:27). Organisers highlighted the event’s community spirit, energy, and its role in inspiring the next generation through Junior Rides and Family Fun Rides.
The cycle challenge, a highlight of the Middle East’s sporting calendar, continues to attract international riders and remains a key qualifying race for the 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Series.
